Kim Huckerby

Founded The Wellbeing Affect in 2018, with the hope of creating and delivering mental health and wellbeing services that educate, empower and inspire change. Kim is a Social Worker / Counsellor and has spent the last 20 years working extensively with young people, parents, secondary schools and the corporate sector, with a clear focus on mental health and wellbeing. She is a highly skilled and passionate professional, engaging in many diverse roles such as psycho-education, mentoring, strategic planning, leadership, teaching/training, and coaching. She has equipped herself throughout her career with the necessary tools, skill base and knowledge to impart her years of knowledge to a large range of audiences.

Kim and her team at The Wellbeing Affect deliver:

• Accredited Mental Health First Aid and Wellbeing programs across Australia
• Wellness habit-based coaching for adults
• One-on-one wellbeing support sessions for young people

In her final year at the University of Sydney, Kim had a serendipitous moment when she was invited to undertake her Social Work placement at the Eating Disorders Foundation of NSW. It was here that Kim’s desire to work in the NFP sector began and guided her career to where it is today. She is a proud mum of two boys (ages 9 and 12) and lives with them, her hubby and dog Coco in Sydney, Australia.

Kim and her staff at The Wellbeing Affect imagine a world where everyone has the skills and confidence to support those who need it.

“Kim was an amazing instructor. I wasn’t too sure on what to expect going into the course but leaving I have a range of new knowledge that I know I’ll need/use at some point. Kim was able to give all the information in what felt like a safe environment. Kim held the audience’s attention the whole time…. I highly recommend Kim! Thank you!”
